First time visitor?

For those of you who are new to Parenting With Dignity, welcome. I'm glad you found us. I would imagine that one of the first questions you might have is "what can PWD do for you, or how can we help you"? Rather than toot my own horn, I ask that you read this article that was just published (10/12/06) by the Springville, NY Journal. A quote from the article...
Parenting with Dignity has also become especially significant in light of continued school violence in everything from large, urban districts to small, rural ones like West Valley. "You name a problem that's facing American youth today, and I can trace that problem back to the adults that failed to teach," he(Bledsoe) said. "It's a failure on the part of adult society. Way too many adults talk about the younger generation as if they had nothing to do with them. Kids are what we taught them to be, and give us what we're willing to accept. The only time you fail with a child is the last time you try." (Click here to read the article).

The Parenting with Dignity program is absolutely wonderful!
After we had Mr. Bledsoe speak at our school in December 2003, we were sure that we could use his program in our school and community.
We began offering parent workshops then and have had great success with them. The program makes so much sense. It is easy to implement and parents see great results! Parents have told us how much they have gained, how much the workshops changed their families and their home environment. Several families have even asked if they can come to the next session of workshops.
We have seen the results and we know it is something we will continue to offer as long as there are parents who want to be better at what they do.
We had a person observe our workshops because he was thinking of starting them in his area. At the end of the night his comment to me was "As I looked around the room I saw that everyone was mesmerized. Everyone was completely focused and listening to Mac Bledsoe. I even found myself mesmerized. This is definitely something we need to do!"
Our workshop motto is: "Attending parenting workshops does not mean that you are a bad parent. It means that you want to be the best parent you can be for your child."
These workshops aren't just for parents. They are for educators, grandparents, day care workers or anyone who comes in contact with children.
We believe in this program so much that we are having Mr. Bledsoe back this week to speak again. I know there will be people there to hear him for the first time, but I am also sure that there will be many people there that came last time too. Once you hear him speak you will want to hear him again.
We cannot wait to be re-inspired!
Thank you Mac, for all you do for kids and families!
